Folsom Physical Therapy Community,

Now that the COVID restrictions are lifting, we are happy to announce the expansion of our wellness services!

Many of you have already enjoyed the benefits of our physical therapy services, gym, and educational lecture programs. With the goal of enriching our health-promoting environment, we are moving towards rounding out our services to include health and performance massage, dietary and sleep enhancement support, and stress reduction through relaxation classes. Doing so will bolster the scope of our offerings to prolong your longevity and quality of life.

Our Health and Performance Massage Program

Due to a unique opportunity created by a gap between Taryn O’Connell’s graduation from the Physical Therapy Doctorate Program at CSUS in late June and the time she will be certified to bill Medicare, the first of our new health programs to launch will be Health and Performance Massage.

Taryn has been trained by our therapists as part of our continuing education program and her internship at FPT. In addition to her doctorate degree in physical therapy, she has had specific mentoring with Michael Moore, Brigit Lim, Angie Blaikie, Kristen Branham, and Tim McGonigle. Due to this training, her clinical understanding and manual skills far exceed those of any massage therapist on the market.

As time permits, we plan to train other skilled massage therapists to fill this role after Taryn is certified to provide physical therapy services to Medicare patients and moves out of her massage therapist role.

Why Health and Performance Massage?

The addition of massage therapists to our staff is intended to provide a cost effective means for you to receive massage work for less than the cost of a physical therapy visit. The hope is to supplement your efforts to sustain your health and minimize your need for more costly intervention once your primary condition is under control.

Health and Performance Massage can help with:

  • Flexibility
  • Stress reduction
  • Fluid exchange and circulation
  • Reducing discomfort
  • Optimizing physical performance

After enduring the stress of this past year, think about giving yourself the gift of some health promoting bodywork. The cost is roughly half of a physical therapy visit.

Prices are as follows:
  • 60 minutes: $100
  • 90 minutes: $150
  • 60 minute 4 pack: $380 ($95 each)
  • 30 minute scar massage: $50

Contact our front desk to set up your appointment. For more information about our Health and Performance Massage program and its benefits to your body, please visit our Health and Performance Massage program page, as well as our articles on flexibility and the benefits of massage.
